If you’re not using all of your vacation days, you’re doing it wrong

  • Tara

I may be different or freakishly travel-crazed or whatever it is, but being free for only 31 percent of my life (weekends + 10 vacation days ÷ 365 days of the year) just doesn’t sound cool to me. And to think of foregoing even one vacation day seems criminal, really.

It’s summatime! Now the most important thing is: where’s everyone going for summer vacation? I’m planning for Grenada later this summer, but according to American Express, travelers are getting even more exotic than that.

Besides using Prospect Park as a sub for the beach and a place to tan, or to try and maintain a summer body for all that faux beaching, there’s a whole bunch of interesting things to do in Prospect Park throughout the summer.

The place.
The sandwich.
The ginger beer.

I’m going to be honest with you: I have not tasted every fish sandwich in Bermuda. However, I have had many a fish sandwich over the course of my life and this is easily the fairest of them all. (I’m open to pushback here, but I doubt anyone will prove me wrong).

About Me

I travel, I write and I eat. I’m an adventure-obsessed travel writer in Brooklyn with a love of food, culture + color. It is easier to ask me which countries I don’t want to travel to than which ones I do, because elsewhere is my happy place ♥

The Travel Bug
I write about travel because I can’t stop thinking about it. Travel is my joy, my release, my comfort food, my safe place, my passion. It is easier to ask me which countries I don’t want to travel to than which ones I do. Never invite me to travel if you don’t mean it, because I will say yes. I get disproportionately excited about cool travel products and I don’t understand fanny packs. Or socks with sandals.
